12 Conwell Street

Because 12 Conwell Streets abuts the old Gifford Cemetery at 25 Cemetery Road, there are gravestones just outside its windows. What now looks like a gated, wooded lot at the left was once the gateway to Boston, via the Old Colony (later the New Haven) Railroad. Fittingly enough, this was the home in 1910 of John Pierce, the assistant superintendent of the cemetery. In late 2013, the three-bedroom condo unit was placed on the market for $649,000, through Lee Ash of William Raveis. • Assessor’s Online Database ¶ Updated 2013-12-22
