21A Franklin Street Condominium
Formerly denominated 21 Franklin Street, this was the Prada family home for many years. Antone “Tony” Prada (±1872-1963) was the skipper of the Rose Dorothea and its last surviving crew member in Provincetown. He had come to this country in the early 1910s from São Miguel in the Azores. Besides the Rose Dorothea, he also skippered the Annie C. Perry, which ended up being sunk during World War I by a German submarine, U-156.
The property was converted in 1996 into a three-unit condominium. • Historic District Survey, main house • Historic District Survey, cottage • Assessor’s Online Database, Unit 1 • Assessor’s Online Database, Unit 2 • Assessor’s Online Database, Unit 3 ¶ Posted 2012-
