11 Brewster Street

Wonderfully wild and woolly, 11 Brewster Street looks like about three or four buildings in one. It was built around 1920. Among its residents over the years have been the writer and artist Susan Baker, whose delightful books include The History of Provincetown and Provincetown Dogs; the artist Peter Macara, whose work includes a 48-foot mural of Provincetown at Lands End Marine Supply; and Saul Ader (d 2005), a clinical psychologist and author who was known in some quarters as the Socrates of Provincetown.
