Stephen Gary Milkewicz (b 1956), a member of the Historical Commission and former proprietor of the Lamplighter guest house, 26 Bradford Street, was living at 40 Nelson Avenue until he heard about development plans on two sides of his home. “I sold the house,” he told me in 2013, “but stayed in town to rebuild an old two-car garage.” That would be this building, which he purchased in 1995 from Robert I.
